Easy Shelter Model Questions

How hard is it to build? How long does it take?

It is very simple, easy, and takes 30 min or less! It is not heavy or hard to build at all. It is by far the easiest and fastest smoking shelter on the market to build.

How tall is it?

The Easy Shelter has a peak of 7' high.

What is the cover?

Replying simply regarding the Easy "cover" might imply that the frame and cover are separate and while that's true for many smoking shelters, its not for the Easy Shelter! The Easy Shelter cover and frame are combined into an extremely-strong, pleated "tunnel" of 4mm double-walled polycarbonate.

What is the frame made of? Is it strong?

The entire roof and the walls of the Easy Shelter are constructed of 4mm double-walled polycarbonate. So technically, the only "frame" of the Easy Shelter is the polycarbonate concertina tunnel and it's a true marvel of technology.

Can the Easy Shelter stand snow and wind?

Here's some great Easy Shelter wind and snow information that was printed by the manufacturer of the Easy Shelter. "We tested the roof for strength. It was truly unbelievable. With the wind and snow load testing of our polypropylene shelter at 72 mph and 5 lbs/sq-ft respectively, the polycarbonate generously exceeded those numbers."

What is the warranty?

Easy Shelters are warranted against damage or breakage caused by any defects in materials or workmanship for 7 years. Any defective part will be replaced at no expense to you. This warranty is not transferable and does not apply to damage caused by misuse, carelessness, or severe acts of nature.

I need a circulation fan for a 10x14 Easy Shelter.

The Easy Shelter's circulation fan is available in a Single Speed for only $255.00 and a Variable Speed Fan for $238.75 USD.

I have just purchased a 10x10 Easy Shelter. What site preparation do I need to do before it arrives.

The only site prep you need to do for the Easy Shelter is to level the area and be prepared to open the box. :)

Enthusiast Model Questions

What is the frame made of?

The Enthusiast shelter is constructed of an Aluminum frame (with mill finish) with a green plastic locking system for the glazing panels.

What is the covering?

The Enthusiast glazing material is a virtually unbreakable, highly impact-resistant, single-layer polycarbonate with glass-like clarity

How hard is it to build?

Not hard at all. It is an easy-to-assemble, non-complicated shelter kit.

How do I get a base?

The Enthusiast price includes a FREE Base Kit & Free Shipping.

Does this shelter have a warranty.

The Enthusiast includes a 5 year limited warranty covering structural defects, faulty workmanship and fading color.

What are the Enthusiast's dimensions?

The overall dimensions (including base) are 97.5" long x 76" wide x 82.7" high. The peak height is 107" and the side walls are 70".

How much does the Home greenhouse weigh for shipping?

This shelter weighs approximately 120 lbs & ships in two cartons of 60lb. each.

How long does it take to ship once the order is placed?

The Enthusiasts typically ship the day after the order is placed (except for orders placed over a weekend or holidays, those shelter orders ship once the office is open again). Delivery can be expected in 10-14 business days. :)

What is the weight of the Enthusiast?
Could it be sent to my office and then carried home in the back of a truck? What is the packaging like?

The Enthusiast ships via UPS in two 48” x 28” x 12” cartons, approximately 60 lbs. each. You should easily be able to have it delivered to a work location and moved to your home in the back of a pickup truck. :)

How tall is the Home Greenhouse on the top and the sides?

The Enthusiast peak dimension is 8.91'(107") and the side walls are 5.83'(70").

My husband is planning to order the Enthusiast Shelter. We would like to know if we need to build a foundation of any type.

You do not need to pre-build any foundation for the Enthusiast but you may wish to simply prepare the area for your shelter by leveling it ahead of time. I include gravel flooring in my shelter for drainage purposes but this shelter may be assembled on a wood or concrete deck or even your natural soil itself. :) The Enthusiast Shelter includes a 4" plastic base and ground stakes which give you an easy and attractive way to secure your shelter.

I have on order an Enthusiast Shelter. The supplied length and width of base are 1" shorter than noted greenhouse dimensions. Does the base fit inside the greenhouse? What is the combined thickness of base + greenhouse?

For the Enthusiast Shelter, the site/foundation area should be built to match the base dimensions of 75" wide by 96.7" long. For the actual dimensions of the shelter, customers should allow for the protusions of the beveled polycarbonate which will add approximately 1" to the base dimensions.

What are the measurements of the shelter door?

The Enthusiast Shelter door measures 23" wide x 73" tall.

I was wondering how the heating/insulating ability of SnapGlas compares to that of the various polycarbonate glazings.

The SnapGlas of the Enthusiast is a single layer polycarbonate glazing. It is uv-protected and has an R-value of .83.

Accessories Questions

I am interested in the Enthusiast Shelter and want to know just how much of the shelter the shade cloth covers.

The Enthusiast shadecloth is 8'x8' and is designed to entirely cover the roof of the shelter with grommets along the edges. It is easy to attach to the inside of the shelter but may be attached to the outside using bungie cords as well.

I have a question about the heater you offer, is the FlexiFurnace electric or gas?

The FlexiFurnace is an electric heater that uses 110-120 volts/60Hz. The FlexiFurnace produces 5200 BTUs and can heat a 20'x20' room.
